Missing Sugar Land man found dead

SUGAR LAND, Texas – A Sugar Land wife said her worst fears came true after her husband, who had been missing for several days, was found dead.

Juan Gonzalez left their house early Monday morning in a limousine taxi to pick up a customer at George Bush Intercontinental Airport, but investigators said he then disappeared.

On Wednesday, Sugar Land police said they found his body inside his silver town car in a restaurant parking lot in Humble. Police said there were no signs of foul play.

His wife, Raquel Gonzalez, said she knew something was wrong when her husband of 32 years left for work and never returned.

Raquel Gonzalez said her 59-year-old husband had some health problems, including high blood pressure and diabetes. She said he woke up early and worked long hours.

Raquel Gonzalez said her husband would sometimes get tired, park somewhere and rest. She said he was a limo driver for seven years and picked up customers from the airport as one of his routes.

The Humble Police Department is investigating the death.
