CORPUS CHRISTI -

A Houston Astros minor league baseball player is nursing a big bruise after he was hit in the face with a 90 mph fastball.

Delino DeShields Jr. tweeted out some photos showing himself giving a thumbs up next to his severely swollen cheek.  According to MBL.com, DeShields suffered a broken cheekbone.

It happened during a game Friday night between the Astros Double-A affiliate, the Corpus Christi Hooks, and the Frisco Rough Riders.

DeShields was treated at a hospital and released early Saturday morning.
