Meyerland home floods for 4th time in less than 2 years

HOUSTON – For the fourth time in less than two years, Hourieh Harmouche woke up to a house full of water.

"I woke up to go like at 3 (a.m.) to go to the bathroom, and first when I stepped on the ground, I mean there's water," Harmouche said.

A cell phone video shows just how much got under the doors of her Meyerland home -- 4 inches of water -- throughout the entire house.

"Very upsetting to me," Harmouche said.

It was a heartbreaking discovery after they recently finished renovating after the Tax Day flood last April. That time, they had four feet of water inside the house.

"We just finished up about four or five months ago, finished remodeling and getting our furniture. And here you go again. The same thing happened," Harmouche said.

Her entire front yard was turned into a lake Wednesday morning. Their car outside was also flooded.

Harmouche doesn't know what's next. She knows she doesn't want to move.

"I love it so much. I raised all of my family in it, but there's nothing left to do," Harmouche said.

She fears at this point that getting rid of the home may be their only option.

"I love this home. It's very comfy. I hate to get rid of it, but I guess I have to do it," Harmouche said.

The family just finished rebuilding, and now they're starting all over again.
