A man and woman are in the hospital after a METRORail train slammed into their car late Thursday night in downtown Houston.
According to Houston Police Department, the driver likely ran a red light near the tracks at Dallas Street and Main Street, and then pulled right in front of the train.
The train barreled into the side of the car.
First responders transported the two passengers in the vehicle to the hospital in stable condition.
Houston police believe alcohol may have played a role in the crash.
Nobody on the train was injured.
