METRORail strikes pedestrian in Museum District

HOUSTON – One person was sent to the hospital after being struck by the METRORail near the intersection of Rosedale and Fannin on Thursday night around 8:05 p.m.

METRO Police said a man ran on the tracks in front of the train, and witnesses said that man froze before being struck.

The person was taken to Ben Taub Hospital and is expected to be OK.

The rail was shut down for a while, but got back on its route around 9:20 p.m.
