SPRING, Texas – A mother and two dogs were killed in a fire at a mobile home in east Harris County.
The family identified the woman as Margaret Davis, 52.
"They found her in the back room," Doug Palmer said, Davis' son. "My dogs didn't make it out either."
The fire broke out at the home on Nueces Drive at Gosling Road around 11:45 p.m. Wednesday.
The Spring Fire Department responded to the home after a call from a neighbor.
"We're still investigating," said Captain Dean Hensley of the Harris County Fire Marshal's office. "There is a lot of damage on the south end of the trailer."
Davis' son said she lived at the trailer for eight or nine years. She leaves behind a son and a grandchild he said.
