Men admit firing shots that narrowly missed sleeping baby

ALVIN, Texas – Brazoria County deputies said they know who fired the shots that narrowly missed hitting an 8-month-old baby girl.  Her parents said a bullet was fired through the baby's bedroom window, where she was sleeping Sunday morning.

Deputies said two men admitted to firing the shots.  They said they thought they were far enough away from any homes, shooting guns in a field.

The men were not arrested.  Deputies said they are waiting on the district attorney to determine whether charges will be filed.

"Five feet over, it would've been my daughter dead," said Catherin Reynard, Ella's mother. "And then it would've been the worst case scenario and they'd want to find out who did this."
