HOUSTON – Memorial services will be held Tuesday in Galveston for George P. Mitchell.
Family and friends will gather at a private ceremony at Trinity Episcopal Church in Galveston late Tuesday afternoon.
Following the private service, the public is invited to a celebration of his life. A procession will begin at 7 p.m. from the church to Saengerfest Park at 23rd Street and Strand.
Another public memorial service is planned for 7:30 p.m. Wednesday evening at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in George Mitchell's memory to not-for-profit organizations. Click here for a list of organizations provided by the family.
