After Local 2 aired their story Thursday night, a medical flight has been secured for two injured Houston women who are stuck in Africa.

Ruby Sprayberry and Stephanie Clawson were doing mission work in Niger when they were in a car crash.

The women's families and the congregation at Santa Fe Family Worship Center have raised the $70,000 needed for a medical flight to get the women out of harms way.

When Local 2 first brought you this story on Thursday night, the group had raised $17,000.

Since then, they were able to get $53,000 and more in donations.

The women are expected to be back in the U.S. by next Tuesday.
