MD Anderson's Children's Art Project highlights patients' artwork

HOUSTON – The holiday season is arriving a little early this year.

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center has kicked off its Children's Art Project (CAP).

This year's collection includes artwork from more than 20 young MD Anderson patients. It includes a full-line of holiday cards and stationery, hand-painted glass ornaments, phone covers and more.

CAP holds a series of trunk shows each year to introduce communities to the young designer's artwork. Guests will have the opportunity to view and purchase the latest items from CAP's 2013 Holiday Collection.

Proceeds from the sales go to support programs for pediatric cancer patients and their families at MD Anderson. Since CAP's inception in 1973, more than $30 million has been returned to continue this goal.
