A week after her opponent questioned her handling of the city's finances in a TV ad, Mayor Annise Parker is firing back.
Parker's campaigned unveiled a new TV political ad titled 'The Man Who Wasn't There,' on Tuesday.
The ad is directed at Houston attorney and mayoral candidate Ben Hall. The ad attacks Hall for allegedly not living in the city, not voting in city elections or paying property taxes on his home.
The ad says that under Mayor Parker's leadership, the city came together to change the way business is done.
Hall's office released a statement following Mayor Parker's ad. His press secretary wrote in part: "This is a typical move from a professional politician who has just launched her goodbye tour."
Election Day is November 5.
