Masked cigarette bandits break into HEB in southwest Houston

HOUSTON – Houston police are searching for four burglars who broke into an HEB store in southwest Houston early Wednesday.

Police said bandits wearing ski masks pried open the front glass doors of the store on San Felipe and Fountainview around 3:30 a.m., then went inside and broke into the cigarette and tobacco cabinet.

The thieves loaded up multiple boxes of cigarettes and tobacco, then fled the scene.

There were stock boys inside the store when the burglary happened, but they were not injured.

The stock boys said the thieves fled in a dark-colored Dodge Charger.
