Man's body found in Brays Bayou

HOUSTON – Investigators said the body of a man was found in Brays Bayou in southeast Houston.

Police were called to the bayou, which is near the Port of Houston around 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Officials said the body was found in the water under the bridge where Harrisburg turns into Broadway.

Houston police believe the 40-year-old man was biking home from work over the bridge around midnight Monday when he was hit by a car. As a result of the the hit-and-run accident, police said the man landed in the bayou.
