Man's attempted burglary of Home Depot caught on video

FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas – A man whose attempt to burglarize a Home Depot in Fort Bend County was caught on video is wanted by police.

An employee at the Home Depot in the 10400 block of Highway 6 near West Bellfort Blvd. heard the building alarm go off early in the morning of July 8, according to the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office. He went to the front of the stores where he saw a man near the registers.

The man ran out of the store and got into a black pickup truck, possibly a Ford F-150, with paper tags.

Video shows the man opening a register and looking for cash, but he left the store empty-handed, deputies said.

The man is described as black and around 6 feet tall. He was wearing a black shirt and blue jeans.

Anyone with information could earn up to a $5,000 cash reward. All calls to Crime Stoppers are anonymous.
