A man and a woman are facing serious charges after police say they found them in a car with a baby they say was high on synthetic marijuana.

Pasadena police tell us an officer on patrol at Satsuma Park spotted a car with smoke seeping through a cracked windows. The officer says there was a strong odor in the air around the car.

When the officer got closer, he says he saw Elizabeth Vega and Eleazar Lopez smoking in the front seat of the car. The officer says he also saw an 11-month-old baby in the back seat.

The officer says the baby was clearly intoxicated from the second-hand smoke.

Vega and Lopez were arrested and charged with endangering a child.

The baby was taken to Clear Lake Regional Medical Center, detoxed and transported to Children's Protective Services.

Police say Vega and Lopez were smoking Kush, which is a synthetic form of marijuana. Drug experts say Kush is more dangerous that regular marijuana.
