HOUSTON -

Harris County sheriff's deputies were not sure who to charge after a car slammed into the corner of a home in northwest Harris County Friday morning.

Investigators said the driver of the car lost control and drove off the road around 3:40 a.m. The vehicle slammed into the left side of the garage of a home on North Eldridge Parkway near Hastings Green Drive.

The impact caused part of the brick structure to crumble, leaving behind a pile of bricks.

When deputies arrived, they asked the man and woman who were in the car who was driving. Investigators said both people accused the other of driving off the road.

The car was totaled in the accident, but no one was hurt.

The district attorney's office refused to press charges because officers could not determine who was driving at the time of the crash.
