Man ties up store clerk during robbery, Montgomery County investigators say

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas – Authorities are asking for information about a man who, they said, robbed a store in the 300 block of Sawdust Road on June 16.

A man entered Regal Gold Buyers with a small handgun around 10:30 a.m., according to investigators.

The man tied the clerk up in the back of the store and stole an undisclosed amount of cash and products, investigators said.

The man then left the store on foot and walked toward a nearby bank.

The man was described as black, approximately 25-35 years old, 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing about 180-200 pounds. The man was wearing black shoes, light blue denim shorts, a black polo-style shirt and a black baseball cap with a white Nike logo on the front. The cap had a gray brim with a reflective sticker on the top center.

The man was unshaven and was carrying a black backpack over his right shoulder.
