HOUSTON - A driver is facing felony evading charges after fleeing from police.
Around midnight Wednesday, an HPD officer attempted to pull over a driver on Hughes Road in southeast Houston for a routine traffic violation.
Police said the man refused to stop and took off west on Bell Street.
When the man realized it was a dead end, officers said he threw his SUV into reverse and plowed into an HPD cruiser.
Officials said the man then tried to run away, but was eventually found.
The officer is expected to be okay.
