Man tased by Houston police officer dies

Police are awaiting autopsy results

HOUSTON – Authorities are investigating the death of a man who was tased by police.

Houston police said they were called to 10100 South Gessner Drive around 6:35 p.m. on September 21. Upon their arrival, officers found a naked man, later identified as 41-year-old Erick Damon Lee, running in and out of traffic.

Police said while attempting to stop Lee, an officer used his Conducted Energy Device.

Lee was transported to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital, where he died on Friday, September 27.

During their investigation, Lee's wife told police her husband had been smoking PCP before officers arrived on the day of the incident.

Police are awaiting autopsy results as their investigation continues.
