HOUSTON – A man was taken to the hospital after he lost control of his SUV and slammed into an utility pole in northwest Harris County.
Police said the accident happened on Jones Rd. near Cypress in north Houston around 2:00 A.M. on Monday.

The driver was trapped inside of his SUV and had to be cut of his car by the Cy-Creek fire department, according to police.
He was later transported to the hospital by Lifeflight, and is in critical condition, according to police.
