Man stops to ask Humble student personal questions, officials say

HUMBLE, Texas – A man stopped and asked a student waiting for her bus in Humble personal questions Thursday morning, officials said.

In an email sent to parents of Summer Creek High School students, Principal Nolan Correa said two boys and two girls were at their bus stop at Eastex Oaks Village when two men in a gray Honda drove by a couple of times.

Later, the car stopped and a man got out, Correa said. The man walked up to one of the girls and began asking her personal questions. The bus then arrived, and the man got back in the car and left.

Correa said the students reported the incident to administrators when they arrived at school.

Administrators reminded parents to talk to their children about what to do if they are approached by a stranger.
