HARRIS COUNTY, Texas - Authorities are searching for a suspect who is believed to be responsible for several robberies in west Harris County.
Harris County Sheriff's Office deputies say on June 7 between the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. a man robbed four people, shooting one victim, in the area of Beechnut and Synott Road.
The first robbery occurred at around 1:30 a.m. in the 12000 block of Birchaven where deputies say a female victim's purse was stolen, including a concealed handgun.
In the second robbery, deputies say the armed suspect approached a male victim and open fired before fleeing the scene in the 7900 block of Beech Park Lane. No injuries were reported.
Deputies say the suspect approached a third victim in the 13500 block of Beechnut and open fired again, shooting the victim in the back, before fleeing towards a nearby fast food restaurant.
In the fourth robbery, the suspect approached a victim in the 8000 block of Shady Green Meadows and demanded the victim's wallet and cell phone.
The suspect is described as a black man, clean-shaven with a skinny build and dark hair, wearing a black shirt and red shorts at the time of the robberies, possessing a dark-colored handgun.
