Man shot twice during attempted robbery

HOUSTON – Police are searching for a suspect after an attempted robbery led to a man being shot twice in northwest Houston.

It happened around 10 p.m. Thursday near on Ojeman Road at Hammerly.

According to Houston police, the victim was walking to his apartment from the parking lot when a man held him at gunpoint and demanded his wallet, cash and other belongings.

When the victim refused, police said the suspect shot him in the arm and stomach before running away.

Officials said the victim was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital in serious, but stable condition.
