HOUSTON -

Detectives are trying to figure out who shot a man to death outside of a northwest Harris County motel, officials said.

Sheriff's deputies were called to the Preet Inn on Fallbrook Road and State Highway 249 around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday night.

They stayed there for more than six hours collecting evidence.

"At this time we don't have any suspect information, we don't have any motive for the shooting" said Sgt. Greg Pinkins with the Harris County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies talked to other motel guests, but no one witnessed the shooting.

Investigators said the hotel does not have any surveillance cameras.
