HOUSTON -

A man was killed after a fight at a large neighborhood party escalated to a shooting Saturday morning.

According to Harris County deputies, a group was gathered in the Greenbriar Colony subdivision near Aldine Westfield Road around 12:20 when people started arguing.

Deputies arrived to break up the crowd, and as people started leaving, witnesses said they heard dozens of gunshots a few blocks down the road.

When deputies rushed to the scene, they found a man dead behind the wheel of an older model car.

Investigators said he had been shot an unknown number of times, causing him to crash into a sign at the intersection.

As of Saturday morning, no arrests have been made.

The victim's identity was not immediately released.
