HOUSTON – Police are working to track down the gunmen who killed a man in the parking lot of an apartment complex Thursday night in southwest Houston.
Investigators said the man's body was found around 8:30 p.m. at the Little Nell Apartments at 8565 West Sam Houston Parkway South. Officials say the victim was running away from a group of two to four men who were chasing him.

As the man tried to run away, someone opened fire, hitting and killing him. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
Police say witnesses reported seeing an unknown male suspect leaving the area where the victim was found. The suspect then left the scene in a 2010 to 2011 black Acura.
