HOUSTON – A man was taken to the hospital after police said he was shot while sitting in a car in a west Houston parking lot.
Police responded to reports of a shooting near a shopping center on Westheimer Road and Briar Park shortly after 3 a.m. Sunday. When they arrived, they found a Chevy Camaro with bullet holes. Police said the back window of the car had also been shot out.

According to reports, the Camaro's driver was not injured, but his passenger was shot and taken to the hospital.
The victim's name was not immediately released.
As of Sunday, police said there were no known suspects or a motive for the shooting.
