Police: Gunman accused victim of breaking into his SUV

HOUSTON – Police are looking for a gunman who shot a man three times Monday morning in southwest Houston.

Investigators said a man pulled out a gun and started shooting a man in the middle of Forum Park Drive at Bissonnet Street at 4:10 a.m., across from the Sugar Branch apartments. Apartment residents said they heard gunshots.

The victim told officers he was walking home from his girlfriend's house when the man approached him and accused him of breaking into his Chevrolet Suburban. An argument erupted and that's when the man shot the victim in the forehead, the arm and in the back, police said.

A man driving by the scene called 911.

The victim was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive. His name was not released.
