The officer found marijuana inside the vehicle and attempted to arrest Jaimes. Jaimes physically resisted arrest, but after a struggle, the deputy was able to handcuff him.

While walking to the patrol car, Jaimes jerked away from the deputy and ran from the scene. The deputy caught Jaimes after about 100 yards.

“Further investigation by Deputy Barragan revealed that Jaimes was in possession of 11.37 ounces of marijuana,” Constable Mark Herman said.

Jaimes was arrested, charged with felony possession of marijuana and escape, and booked into the Harris County Jail.
