Man robs northwest Houston bank

Amegy Bank on Hempstead Highway robbed Wednesday

HOUSTON – The FBI needs help identifying and capturing a man who robbed a northwest Houston bank on Wednesday.

Investigators said the man walked into the Amegy Bank in the 12100 block of Hempstead Highway, pulled out a pistol and demanded cash from a teller.

The teller complied and the man got away with an undisclosed amount of cash, officials said.

The robber was described as black, 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 7 inches tall and 160 to 170 pounds with a small to medium build. He was last seen wearing a black button-down shirt or jacket over a white T-shirt, dark colored pants, a gold ring on his left ring finger, dark sunglasses and a black ball cap with a white star on the front of it.
