Man pinned under his own car by hit-and-run driver

HOUSTON – The Houston Police Department's Vehicular Crimes Division and Crime Stoppers are asking for the public's help finding the person responsible for failing to stop and render aid in an accident in the 6500 block of South Dairy Ashford Road on July 23 around 4:40 a.m.

The victim was lying on the ground tying a rope to his disabled 2003 black Infiniti so it could be towed, police said.

A white or gray SUV struck the Infiniti, pinning the victim under his own vehicle, according to reports.

The SUV then left the scene northbound on South Dairy Ashford Road.

The victim was taken to a hospital and was treated for severe injuries.

Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the charging and/or arrest of the hit-and-run driver in this case.
