Police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run that happened in north Houston early Friday.
According to Houston police, a man was struck around 4 a.m. along the feeder road in the 5700 block of North Freeway and E. Witcher Lane.

A clerk at a nearby Texaco gas station said he heard a loud 'boom' then walked outside and found a man had been hit, but did not see the vehicle.
"It appears to be pretty violent because the clerk inside said that he saw him literally flying through the air, so the vehicle on the service road probably was driving at a high rate of speed," said Sgt. James Roque, Houston Police Department.
The store's surveillance cameras were in "live" mode and did not record the incident.
The victim did not have any identification on him.
