HOUSTON -

A man was killed in a major motorcycle crash in southwest Houston on Thursday.

Around 2 a.m., a man speeding down the Southwest Freeway on a motorcycle attempted to take the West Loop exit ramp.  Police said he was going way too fast for the ramp and slammed into a concrete wall.

According to reports, the force of the crash caused the man to fly off the motorcycle and fall 70 feet to the ground.  Police said he died on impact.

The victim's name was not immediately released.
