Man killed in high-speed crash

3 women hurt in crash

HOUSTON – Speeding is being blamed for a crash that killed a man in northwest Houston.

Houston police said a state trooper saw the man speeding without his headlights illuminated.

Before the officer could catch up to him, the driver crashed into an SUV that was stopped at a red light at the intersection of F.M. 1960 and Mills Road.

Three women in the SUV were taken to the hospital in serious condition.

The driver who caused the crash was flown to Memorial Hermann Hospital in the Texas Medical Center, where he died. His name has not been released.
