HOUSTON - A driver was killed after crashing into an 18-wheeler Wednesday morning.

Investigators say the driver of the 18-wheeler was driving on Farrell Road near East Hardy Road in northeast Harris County at around 1 a.m.

According to investigators, the truck driver started slowing down to turn off of the feeder road. A man driving an SUV behind the 18-wheeler couldn't stop in time and crashed into the back of the truck.

The driver of the SUV died on the scene.

Deputies say the results of a toxicology test would reveal whether the man was impaired at the time of the crash.
