HOUSTON -

A man is in custody accused of stabbing a cab driver in Kingwood.

It happened around 1:15 a.m. Friday at West Lake Houston Parkway and Kingwood Drive.

Police said the cab driver picked up the customer in downtown Houston and drove him to the METRO Park and Ride in Kingwood.

The two got into an argument when the man's credit cards were declined and the man told the driver he didn't have money for the fee.

The driver called police and that's when officers say the man pulled out a knife and stabbed him.

The cab driver was taken to the hospital in serious but stable condition.

The man, identified as Mitchell Rosen, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
