HOUSTON – A woman is dead after she was hit by a car in Northwest Harris County.
The woman was crossing FM 529 near Highway 6 with her dog when a witness saw her trip and fall before the car slammed into her.

The woman was rushed to the hospital where she later died.
The dog died at the scene.
An investigation is ongoing, including information if the driver will face charges.
