HOUSTON – A man was arrested after a SWAT standoff near downtown.
It happened on the 2600 block of Chenevert Street and McGowen Street.

Police received a call around noon about an assault in progress.
The man allegedly assaulted a woman before barricading himself inside a house alone, according to authorities.
