HOUSTON – A man is dead after he was hit and killed while pushing his disabled car along the Gulf Freeway early Sunday morning.
The accident happened around 3:30 a.m. Sunday along I-45 near Clear Lake City Boulevard.

Investigators said the man and his wife were pushing their car along a southbound shoulder when he was hit by the SUV.
Police said the driver of the SUV stopped and dialed 911.
The wife was not hurt.
No charges have been filed.
