HOUSTON – A man walking on a northeast Harris County road was hit by a pickup truck early Monday.
The accident happened on Atascocita Road and Wilson Road around 1:30 a.m. Deputies said the road was dark because there are no street lights where the man was hit.
Investigators said the man was walking in the middle of the road when he was hit by a 2012 GMC Sierra truck. The driver stopped after the accident.
The man was taken to a hospital in serious condition. He is expected to survive. His name was not released.
No charges are expected to be filed against the truck driver.
Officials said no alcohol was involved in the crash.
