Man hit by METRO bus

Witness: Man was barely clothed when he tried getting on the bus

HOUSTON - A man is recovering at Ben Taub Hospital after he was hit by a METRO bus.

It happened around 9:45 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Scott and Yellowstone in southeast Houston.

METRO Police said the man first jumped onto the side of the bus while it was turning a corner.

Police said the driver didn't see the man and hit him.
"It just leaves me traumatized." said Kayla Taunton, who witnessed the accident.
METRO police were collecting evidence, including shoes found near one of the wheels on the bus.
"He had on his drawers and nothing else. No shoes, no socks nothing," said Taunton.
Officials said the man is expected to survive.
