Man hands threatening note to bank teller, then leaves empty-handed

HOUSTON – Houston police are investigating after a man threatened a teller Thursday morning at a Chase Bank in southwest Houston.

It happened around 10 a.m. at the Chase Bank in the 8300 block of Westheimer near Dunvale. Police said a man walked into the bank and handed over a note demanding cash. The man then left the bank empty-handed.

No one was injured. Witnesses did not see a weapon.

The man is described as white with a medium build, in his 30s, around 5 feet 9 inches tall, and weighing around 170 pounds. He had dark hair and was unshaven. He wore black sunglasses and a white T-shirt, and carried a black laptop bag.
