HOUSTON – A man was flown to a hospital after being hurt at work on Thursday.
Cy-Fair volunteer firefighters said a man became trapped in a machine at SPX Corporation on Hempstead Highway near Eldridge Parkway about 3:30 p.m. The machine is used to grind out huge oil field valves, officials said.

The man was pulled out of the machine and paramedics stabilized him before he was taken by helicopter to Memorial Hermann Hospital, officials said.
The man suffered cuts and some broken bones, rescue crews said.
