HOUSTON – A man who investigators said set fire to a southwest Houston mosque last year was sentenced Friday to four years in prison.
The two-alarm fire was reported Dec. 25, 2015, at the Savoy Mosque near the intersection of Wilcrest Drive and West Bellfort Avenue.

Gary Nataniel Moore, 37, who worshipped at the mosque, was arrested after police said a fellow member identified him from surveillance video.
Other members said Moore attended services the day before the fire.
A search of Moore’s home turned up a container of charcoal lighter fluid that had the same serial number as a container found at the scene, investigators said.
Moore pleaded guilty Friday to the crime.
Moore, who has already been in prison for about a year, will be eligible for parole next year.
