Man fatally shot at a Baytown house party

Witnesses say two groups of men were in the backyard arguing when the suspect pulled out a gun and fired three to four shots

BAYTOWN – A 21-year-old man is accused of fatally shooting another man at a Baytown house party.

Officials say Alejandro Rodriguez, and two other Hispanic men got into an argument with a group of black men that arrived at the party around 2:30 a.m. on August 24 at 4714 Mohave Cr.

According to witnesses, the men were in the backyard arguing when Rodriguez pulled out a small black handgun and shot about three to four gunshots toward the group of black males.

According to officials, one of the bullets hit Jesus Williams in the head.

Witnesses say Rodriguez and the two Hispanic men and two Hispanic females fled the scene in a small pickup.

Williams was life flighted to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Rodriguez is charged with murder and is being held on a $50,000 bond.
