HOUSTON -

A man is facing murder charges after another man was found dead in his apartment last June.

Quincy Lewis Gibbs has been charged with murder. He was already in custody at the Harris County jail on an unrelated robbery charge.

The shooting happened around 7:15 p.m. on June 29, 2013 at 8791 Hammerly Boulevard in northwest Houston.

Police say the victim was found dead in his apartment and had multiple gunshot wounds. Drugs were found at the scene, according to investigators.

Authorities say a preliminary investigation determined that the victim was shot by two men who then left in different directions.

Police say that further investigation and evidence from the scene helped identify Gibbs as a suspect.
