Man faces DWI charges after wrecking with 4-year-old in car, deputies say

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A man is facing DWI charges after veering off the road and crashing into a concrete culvert with his 4-year-old son in the car, deputies said.

According to officials, a man driving a pickup truck was driving northbound on Aldine Westfield Road around 2:45 a.m. Sunday when he veered off the road.

He then crashed into a ditch, hitting a concrete culvert, deputies said.

According to authorities, his 4-year-old son was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital in serious but stable condition.

The man was also taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Harris county Precinct 4 constable deputies said he faces numerous charges including DWI with a minor in the car and causing bodily injury to a minor.
