HOUSTON – A man who was critically injured in a crash on Dec. 16 died in the hospital Tuesday, officials said.
According to police, Dilawar Virani, 72, was driving a gold Toyota Corolla south on South Dairy Ashford Road at 8:30 p.m., when he failed to yield the right of way while turning left.

Police said Virani's Corolla collided with a gray Chevrolet Tahoe that was driving north on South Dairy Ashford Road.
Virani was taken to the Kindred Hospital, where he was under going treatment until he died May 30, police said.
