HOUSTON -

Police are searching for a man they say was involved in an argument outside of a bar in south Houston that left another man dead.

It happened around 7:15 a.m. Thursday outside Yellowstone Hall in the 6700 block of Sidney.

Houston police said an intoxicated man left the bar and got into a red Chevrolet Impala that did not belong to him.

Officials said the owner of the Impala found out that the man was sitting in his car and confronted him while trying to get him out.

Police said the two men got into an argument.

The vehicle owner pulled the other man out of the car. The man pushed the owner and in self-defense, police said the owner pushed the man back, who then fell and was knocked unconscious.

Officials said the owner of the car drove off.

Witnesses at the scene called 911 and the man was taken to Ben Taub General Hospital where he later died.
