A man is in critical condition after flipping his pickup truck in north Harris County, according to deputies.

Harris County Sheriff’s deputies said the man was speeding down Evanston Street near Rampchester Lane, in a residential neighborhood, late Wednesday night.

He came to a curve and left the road, barreling through a yard before hitting two mail boxes and a fire hydrant.  His truck flipped over as he slammed into a light pole.

Life Flight rushed him to Memorial Hermann Hospital in critical condition.

Deputies said they do not believe alcohol is a factor, just speed.
